"What exactly is YBTC? Why is it the core of #Bitlayer ?"

Many people might be confused the first time they hear about YBTC: how is it different from regular BTC?

It's actually quite simple: YBTC is an asset backed 1:1 by BTC, but it's more flexible than native BTC. It can be programmed and used within the @Bitlayer ecosystem, and it can generate returns.

In other words, YBTC transforms 'static bitcoin' into 'dynamic financial assets.'

When you hold BTC, you usually just wait for its price to go up or down;

while YBTC can participate in DeFi, lending, and liquidity mining to bring you additional returns.

It's like the past with dollars and U.S. Treasury bonds: the intrinsic value is the same, but one is just cash sitting in your wallet, while the other continually generates interest.

In the design of #Bitlayer , YBTC is the starting point of the entire BTCFi. With it, BTC can truly enter financial applications, release liquidity, and provide greater value to holders.

I think this is very important for ordinary users: you don’t need to sell your BTC, nor do you have to risk going to a decentralized exchange, to start making your assets 'move.'

👉 Would you choose to keep holding native BTC, or would you try using YBTC to generate more value from it?
