According to Deep Tide TechFlow news, on August 23, U.S. Judge Sharon Johnson Coleman submitted a document in the Illinois District Court approving a motion filed by Coinbase to stay a lawsuit involving alleged violations of the state’s biometric information privacy law.

The motion requests to await the ruling of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit. The court is hearing a case involving Nuance Communications providing voice recognition technology to Charles Schwab, and the ruling may impact Coinbase's lawsuit.

The document approving Coinbase's motion states: 'The court believes that staying the proceedings will simplify the relevant issues, streamline the trial process, alleviate the litigation burden on the court and the parties, and will not cause undue prejudice or tactical disadvantage to the plaintiff.'
