Wemade Ordered to Compensate Former Employees 9.939 Billion Won
According to reports from Korean media, the Seoul Central District Court has made a partial ruling in favor of a lawsuit filed by former employees of Wemade for damages, ordering Wemade to compensate approximately 9.939 billion won. This lawsuit was initiated by 27 former employees last July, claiming a total amount of 16.176 billion won, accusing the company of failing to fulfill its promise to pay employees in the virtual currency WEMIX. Wemade established its blockchain subsidiary Wemade Tree in 2018 and merged it in 2022. Currently, the relevant functions are handled by the WEMIX Foundation.
