A victim recently lost over 120,000 USDT in just 8 days after being deceived by a sophisticated crypto scam on a fake platform called 'solip.vip', falsely linked to the Solana blockchain.
The scammer built trust through social media by pretending to be a crypto expert, guiding the victim into âETF dividendâ and âstakingâ schemes. Fake trades were shown with guaranteed profits, leading the victim to transfer real USDT from Binance and offline dealers to scammer-controlled wallets.
To keep the scheme running, the platform required daily âactivation feesâ for mining pools, pushing the victim to invest moreâeven borrowing money from family. Eventually, the victimâs account was frozen, withdrawals were blocked, and the scammer vanished.
