In 2024, Guizhou Xijiu will upgrade its quality traceability and brand protection system for baijiu based on WCT. Every bottle of Xijiu will have full-process information (origin of brewing materials, brewing process parameters, cellar aging time, logistics transportation trajectory) stored on the blockchain from the brewing workshop to the sales terminal. Consumers can verify the authenticity of the product and view detailed production information of the baijiu by scanning the code with the official Xijiu APP. The purchase and sales data of distributors will be recorded on the blockchain to prevent counterfeit and inferior products from entering the market and to combat the phenomenon of diversion. When Xijiu settles raw material payments with suppliers, WCT payments will be automatically completed based on on-chain procurement data. In 2024, this system will cover the entire range of Xijiu products, with counterfeit complaints decreasing by 97%, diversion incidents reduced by 94%, further enhancing brand value and promoting steady growth in Xijiu's market share.
