WCT Empowers Intelligent Production Management for BYD New Energy Vehicles
BYD has introduced WCT technology on its new energy vehicle production line, achieving comprehensive intelligent management of the production process. Equipment in the production line, including stamping, welding, painting, and assembly, is connected via the WCT protocol, enabling real-time uploading of equipment operation parameters (such as stamping machine pressure, welding current, painting robot movement trajectory) and production progress data. Utilizing this on-chain data, the production management system can accurately schedule the production rhythm of each process, avoid waiting time between operations, and enhance production efficiency. Additionally, information on each vehicle's components (such as battery batch, motor model), production process parameters, and quality inspection results are stored on-chain throughout the process, facilitating quality traceability. During the after-sales phase, maintenance personnel can quickly locate the root cause of faults through on-chain data and match compatible spare parts. After the implementation of this solution, BYD's new energy vehicle production line capacity increased by 40%, the defect rate of products dropped from 3% to 1%, and after-sales maintenance time was reduced by 50%, effectively enhancing product competitiveness.
