In 2024, Guizhou Moutai will upgrade its liquor traceability system based on WCT. For each bottle of Moutai, information throughout the entire process (such as brewing batch, pit number, logistics transport records) will be recorded on the blockchain from the brewing workshop to the distributor's shelf. Consumers can scan the code through the official Moutai APP to view the entire chain of production, transportation, and sales information to verify authenticity; at the same time, the purchase volume and sales data of distributors will be recorded on the blockchain to prevent diversion. In addition, when Moutai settles raw material payments with suppliers, WCT payments will be automatically completed based on on-chain procurement data, reducing reconciliation errors. By 2024, this system will cover the entire range of Moutai products, with counterfeit complaints decreasing by 98%, diversion cases reduced by 90%, and consumer brand trust increasing to 99.
