The European Union is accelerating its steps to launch the Digital Euro, and notably, it is considering launching it on public networks like Ethereum or Solana instead of a closed blockchain 👀🔥
✨ Goal: To counter the dominance of the dollar and American stablecoins.
⏳ Plan: Legal framework by 2026, with the expected launch between 2027–2028.
📊 In my opinion: If the digital euro is launched on a public blockchain, it will be the biggest step in the history of crypto to integrate sovereign currencies with open systems.
