Pennsylvania State Representative Ben Waxman has introduced bill HB1812 on crypto

Prohibits current public officials and their immediate family members from holding, trading, or promoting crypto projects in which they have a financial interest.

Requires divestment of all assets within 90 days.

Violations may incur fines of up to $50,000 and imprisonment for a maximum of 5 years.

This bill is a response to allegations that U.S. President Donald Trump and his family have profited from cryptocurrency projects.
