Pennsylvania Proposal Restricts Public Officials from Trading Cryptocurrencies

According to HashChain News, Pennsylvania State Representative Ben Waxman has introduced Bill HB1812, which plans to prohibit public officials and their immediate family members from holding, trading, or promoting cryptocurrencies with financial interests during their term and for one year after leaving office. The bill requires asset divestment within 90 days, and violators may face fines of up to $50,000 and a maximum of 5 years in prison. This bill is a response to allegations that former President Trump and his family profited from cryptocurrency projects.
