WalletConnect in Applications: A Practical Experience with Wallets and Integrations
One of the most notable features of WalletConnect is the ease of connection. During my experience, I connected several wallets – whether on mobile or desktop – to applications that directly support WalletConnect. The simple code still means “this application can talk to your wallet,” but the new addition is WCT as an economic layer supporting some flows.
The team has published official lists of integrations between applications and wallets, and I came across a post that illustrates the ecosystem's size: over 70,000 applications and millions of connections. These are not just marketing numbers, but practical and real integrations.
In one experience, I tried an application that offers rewards based on WCT or eligibility checks. Inside the application, there was a clear explanation referring to WalletConnect's documents regarding the airdrop and storage, which added a touch of consistency and transparency. This reflects WalletConnect's focus on user experience, as I felt I could trust the flow and focus only on the features of the application.
Finally, I would like to thank the teams of applications that have integrated the documents seamlessly into the experience; they made the process feel smooth and professional, far from the impression that it was just a “marketing gimmick.”
