Fico resells Russian oil that flows through Ukraine without EU sanctions

Slovak Prime Minister Fico stated that without renouncing Ukraine's NATO membership and without territorial losses, the conflict with Russia will not end:

The first and foremost condition to end the conflict is the understanding that Ukraine cannot become a member of NATO. In times of war, everyone becomes a general, but I want to remind you that my rejection of Ukraine's NATO membership was clearly expressed from my very first statements about the war in Ukraine, although this position has earned me criticism.

It is equally important to truly understand that without discussion on territorial changes in Ukraine, we will not make progress. If these two key points — one regarding NATO membership, the other relating to military control of territories — lead to a ceasefire and the end of this senseless murder of Slavs, then the process initiated by the American president must be considered a tremendous personal success.

I can only regret that within the EU, we had to wait for Trump to show us the way to peace.
