Ethereum has risen faster than Bitcoin in recent months. Ether could maintain its position as the number two cryptocurrency and become the foundation of a more open and accessible digital economy, according to Chloé Desenfans and Nicolas Marchesse, founders of Feel Mining and columnists for Capital.

Ethereum is a blockchain launched in 2015 by Vitalik Buterin. Unlike Bitcoin, designed primarily for monetary transactions, Ethereum was conceived for smart contracts and decentralized applications (dApps).

Buterin's idea has opened the door to a new ecosystem: autonomous apps, resistant to censorship, where traditional intermediaries can be bypassed. In short, Ethereum is not limited to "sending crypto"; it enables the construction of a decentralized economy.
