After 7 years in the market, I've had to pay a significant 'tuition' to realize one truth:

👉 Trading is not about 'right or wrong', it's about discipline or lack of it.

👇 Below are 7 mistakes I've made (and paid dearly for), I hope you can learn from them to avoid repeating.

1️⃣ No Plan = No Opportunity

Entering a trade based on inspiration is not trading, that's gambling.
✔️ Before entering a trade, clearly determine: entry point, stop loss point, profit-taking point.
Having a plan = having direction, not being swept away by emotions when the market fluctuates.

2️⃣ Setting Risks Too High

A golden rule: never use money you can't afford to lose.
Money for rent, bills, emergency fund — absolutely do not bring into the market.
🔒 Protect your capital first, profits will come later.

3️⃣ Greed – Holding Trades Too Long

Many times I have made a profit, but didn't close it because I wanted 'a little bit more'. The result? A winning trade turned into a losing trade.
👉 Greed is the biggest enemy of a trader.
🎯 Be disciplined with your profit-taking plan, don't let 'wishful prices' replace 'real prices'.

4️⃣ Trading Based on Emotions

FOMO, revenge trading, or panicking at the wrong time to cut losses... All lead to accounts evaporating very quickly.
🧘‍♂️ Stay calm. If emotions are unstable, it's best to stay on the sidelines.

5️⃣ Hope to Get Rich Quick

The market is not a money printer. Success takes time and patience.
💡 $20 profit from a precise trade is worth more than losing $100 chasing rumors.
🚶 Move slowly, but in the right direction.

6️⃣ Too Sensitive to Losses

A losing trade does not mean you are a failure. But giving up too early is definitely real failure.
📉 Look at the market long-term, learn from experiences, and then continue. Trading is a journey, not a single match.

7️⃣ Blindly Copying Others

Copying signals without understanding the reasons = walking with eyes closed.
📚 Learn to analyze, understand the logic, and think behind each trade. Only then can you truly take control of your decisions.

Conclusion

The market always rewards discipline, never emotions.
✅ Trade wisely.
✅ Be consistent with your plan.
✅ Practice every day.

That is the way to survive and grow long-term in trading.
