Must-Read Practical Insights for Retail Newbies: From $3000 to $40000: My July Contract Records
On July 1st, looking at the mere $3000 in my account, I set a goal to earn $40000 in a month. Many people said it was impossible, but I knew that a reasonable strategy and strict discipline could make this goal achievable.
Creating a Detailed Plan is the Foundation of Success
I divided the funds into three parts: $2500 for main operations, $300 for emergency reserves, and $200 for spot margin replenishment. I adopted a trend-following + swing trading strategy, only entering trades in high-certainty markets.
Real Trading Process: Creating Miracles in Four Weeks
First Week: Open a long position at BTC 109200, using 20x leverage, controlling 15% of the position, with a 1.5% stop loss. After BTC surged 800 points, I closed half of the position to let profits run. By the weekend, funds increased to $4200.
Second Week: After two stop losses on ETH, I immediately stopped trading. Later, I opened a long position at SOL 163, with a 20% position bringing an 85% return, reaching $5800 in funds.
Third Week: Appropriately increased the position to 20%, capturing ETH's movement from 3400 to 3800, opening a long position of $1000 at 10x leverage, gaining a 120% profit. By the weekend, funds reached $9800.
Fourth Week: Conducted short-term trades on a 15-minute chart, aiming for 5%-8% profit on each trade. When BTC broke 119000, I opened a 15x short position with a 30% position, achieving a 180% return. Ultimately, total assets exceeded $40000.
My Trading Insights
Position Management: Never put all your eggs in one basket; don't bet everything on one cryptocurrency.
Stop Loss Discipline: Protecting your principal is the first priority; the principal is your entry ticket.
Emotional Control: Stay calm when making profits and don't panic when incurring losses; don't fixate on a single loss and try to make it back quickly, as this will only make you less rational.
Trend Following: Only trade with the trend, go with the flow, never go against the market, and never hold losing positions.
Profit Protection: Withdraw profits in a timely manner, secure your gains, and gradually pull out your principal so you can sit back comfortably, which will also change your mindset.
Contracts are not gambling; they require continuous learning and strict self-discipline. My success relies not on luck, but on a well-structured trading system and execution.
Of course, the market is always full of uncertainty; before every trade, I remind myself: "Plan your trades, trade your plans."
