When it comes to crypto, most people immediately think of day trading, FOMO, burning accounts… few realize that blockchain has also been used as a tool for humanitarian aid.
✅ Clear advantages:
Fast & borderless: A donation from the US can reach Ukraine in just a few minutes, without going through banks or complicated procedures.
Transparency: Public wallet addresses, everyone can see where the money has gone, reducing the risk of 'skimming' the fund.
Access to a global community: Instead of only calling for domestic support, organizations can raise funds from anywhere in the world.
❌ Disadvantages & tricks:
Many 'charity projects' are actually just disguised PR tricks, opening a wallet for a few weeks and then… disappearing along with the money.
Some teams use 'charity funds' to create narratives, enhance their reputation, and attract new FOMO holders.
In Vietnam, crypto is rarely associated with charity, so when a project calls for support, the community is often highly cautious. Crypto has the potential to make charity transparent and faster than banks, but it can also easily turn into a tool for scams.
Donating with crypto really makes the money move fast, but whether it reaches those in need… the blockchain wallet still answers 'pending'
👉 So according to you, if a crypto project in Vietnam publicly establishes an on-chain charity fund, will the community support it or think it's just a PR stunt?
