I didn't expect there to be a sequel... Just got back from the Bangkok police station in the middle of the night.

After having a late-night snack with my male idol @Nuts坚果 , on my way back to the hotel alone by Grab, I was stopped by a bunch of police officers in a car/motorcycle, shining flashlights and asking me to get out of the car, then they searched me, turning my pockets inside out, but didn't touch my phone or cash...

They checked my passport photo and told me that possessing and using an e-cigarette could result in a 5-year sentence...

I offered to give them the e-cigarette, but they said no, and after walking 20 meters back to the police station, I was surrounded by 6 police officers. The translator told me not to be nervous, and that it would take about 10 minutes to resolve.

Then a different police officer came over and told me I needed to be tested for drug use. I agreed, and then... 6 people surrounded me, shining flashlights as I urinated into two bottles (thankfully I had drunk a lot, otherwise I really wouldn't have been able to go), and then they brought over 3 test strips for testing, which took about 30 seconds to complete, informing me that there were no issues with the initial urine test.

They then gave me a warning for unknowingly carrying an e-cigarette, checked my hotel reservation, and told me not to bring e-cigarettes out next time, that it was fine to smoke in the room, then back to the hotel.

First time in my life being stopped at customs.

First time in my life being checked while taking a taxi.

Bangkok is truly impressive. (Forgive the stream-of-consciousness narrative, I'm too tired, good night.)
