17 years ago, Satoshi Nakamoto wrote a letter to Adam Back (author of #Hashcash ).
In 2008, he was working on an article where he planned to reference the work "Hashcash - a DDoS protection mechanism." In the letter #Сатоши :
– asked Back to verify the quote,
– outlined the idea of an "electronic cash system" based on Proof-of-Work,
– suggested downloading the draft and contributing to the development of open-source code.
72 days later, #Whitepaper Bitcoin was published.
