For many users who have been long-term staking BTC, asset liquidity has always been a pain point—money is locked there, yields are low, and flexibility is poor, almost becoming 'dormant capital'. However, recently I saw the BounceBit Prime @BounceBit project, which provides quite an interesting solution.
@BounceBit did not make users give up their original staking yields; instead, it further released the liquidity of assets based on that. Simply put, you can take the yield certificates generated after staking and continue to do many things on-chain—participate in other protocols, join DAO governance, or even combine them into more complex yield strategies. This is equivalent to turning 'dead money' into 'living assets'.
From the perspective of product form, #BounceBitPrime no longer resembles a traditional staking protocol, but rather looks like a comprehensive asset management platform. It supports multiple asset types and offers yield strategies corresponding to different risk preferences. For example, users accustomed to CeFi operations can directly stake through official node hosting, making it hassle-free; while on-chain native players can take the certificates for secondary use, further enhancing capital efficiency.
Data transparency is also quite good. The platform provides real-time yield tracking and clear risk control modules, backed by multi-signature custody and compliance audits. While it is not absolutely zero risk, achieving such a mechanism design in the current market is already quite solid.
In the long run, BounceBit's ambition goes beyond staking itself. It seems to want to use BTC Restaking as an entry point to bring more mainstream crypto assets into the on-chain ecosystem, ultimately building a new system that integrates liquidity, financial services, and asset governance. If this path can be successfully navigated, its potential will be much greater than it is now.
I personally believe that the true value of such projects lies not in how high the short-term yields are, but in whether they can truly activate the liquidity of existing assets and create real on-chain demand. Based on the current design and data, BounceBit is at least moving in this direction.
