Powell is set to speak in Jackson Hole, and there are reports that he will "open the door" for a rate cut in September.
In my view, this is almost like giving the market a "reassuring pill".
Everyone understands the Fed's style; they never directly say, "I want to cut rates," but instead use expressions like "opening the door" to maintain flexibility while giving the market enough room for imagination.
In fact, that's enough because what the market wants is not a definite promise but a clear signal: easing is on the way.
For me, this means several points:
1. Panic sentiment is almost at an end: after Powell's speech, the market is unlikely to crash on a large scale.
2. Risk assets will have a breather: tech stocks, gold, and Bitcoin will receive support.
3. Mainstream coins like ETH and BTC, after a pullback, are likely to embark on the next wave of trends under this signal.
In other words, what the market fears most is not the absence of a rate cut but "uncertainty". Since Powell has already opened the door, all that remains is to patiently wait for the spark to ignite.
