Because they don’t understand position at all:

The three iron rules of position management
1️⃣ Start with a light position, leave room to maneuver
I never go all in at once. When starting with 22,000, my position only occupies 30%-40% of the account. This way, if the market reverses, I won’t be wiped out immediately.
2️⃣ Increase position with floating profits, roll them up
Truly amplifying profits isn’t about stubbornly holding until liquidation, but about increasing position with floating profits.
Whenever the market is favorable, I roll in the profits I’ve already earned, allowing the account to grow like a snowball.
3️⃣ Take profits and cut losses, be bold in earning and cutting
The essence of position is risk control. Losses must be cut decisively, while profits should be taken in batches. This is how to ensure steady growth of the account.

Each time I have floating profits, I roll them into the account.
