Understanding the trend is actually the simplest step in trading, but understanding the trend direction does not equate to making money.
This may sound somewhat counterintuitive. Many people tend to mythologize "seeing the big trend," as if it is a magic remedy for the speculative market, believing that understanding the trend direction will lead to big profits.
However, in reality, more often than not, people use it to cover up their laziness in not delving into the details and logic of trading. It can even be said that excessive focus on the big direction is a sign of "having high ideals but low abilities."
As for the problem, the trend direction is not as complicated as imagined. The most direct method is to draw a moving average line: if the moving average is rising, the trend is upward; if the moving average is falling, the trend is downward. This is the simplest and most intuitive way to make a judgment.
Trend judgment is not metaphysics; moving averages provide the simplest and most objective answer.
