Crypto Giants Establish Non-Profit Educational Organization

Major companies in the cryptocurrency industry like Coinbase, DCG, Kraken, Paradigm, and a16z have come together to establish a new non-profit organization called the American Innovation Project (#AIP ). The goal of this organization is to "promote informed dialogue" about decentralized technology in Washington.

Objectives and Activities

AIP is registered as a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, allowing it to be tax-exempt and limit legal liability for its members. The organization will focus on educating policymakers and their staff about cryptocurrency and other decentralized technologies, including decentralized AI networks.

According to Julie Stitzel, Senior Vice President of Policy at #DCG , the primary sponsor of AIP, the organization will operate in a non-partisan manner and will focus solely on providing information without significantly intervening in the legislative process.

The establishment of AIP shows that crypto companies are seeking new ways to influence policy in the U.S. By focusing on education, they hope to build a solid understanding foundation so that legislators can make fairer and more informed decisions about cryptocurrency.

The board members of AIP are influential figures in the crypto lobbying space, demonstrating the industry's strong commitment. The launch event of AIP at a major policy conference in Jackson Hole also showcases their seriousness and strategic vision in shaping the future of cryptocurrency. #anhbacong
