About Solayer (LAYER)
Solayer is an innovative restaking protocol built on Solana, designed to strengthen decentralized security while unlocking new yield opportunities for users. By re-staking SOL or liquid-staked tokens (LSTs) such as mSOL or jitoSOL, participants can help secure applications and services within the Solana ecosystem. In return, they receive sSOL, a liquid restaking token that continues to earn rewards while maintaining full liquidity across DeFi platforms.
Beyond restaking, Solayer introduces sUSD, a novel stablecoin pegged to the U.S. dollar and backed by real-world assets (RWA). Unlike traditional stablecoins, sUSD is yield-bearing, providing holders with ~4–5% APY from U.S. Treasury and other safe investments. This dual-token system—sSOL and sUSD—positions Solayer as both a DeFi infrastructure provider and a bridge between traditional finance yields and blockchain innovation.
The ecosystem is powered by LAYER, the native governance and utility token, capped at 1 billion supply. LAYER is used for governance decisions, protocol upgrades, and is expected to integrate deeper utility in transaction fees, validator incentives, and consensus mechanics within Solayer’s infrastructure.
