The White House plans to prepare for U.S.-Russia-Ukraine peace talks in Budapest
According to news from HASH World Chain, a U.S. government official and a person close to the U.S. government revealed that the White House is planning a possible meeting of the leaders of the U.S., Russia, and Ukraine in Budapest, Hungary, as a next step in negotiations to end the ongoing long-term war. The U.S. Secret Service is preparing for this summit. These two anonymous sources stated that while the Secret Service usually considers multiple locations and the final venue may change, Budapest is becoming the White House's preferred choice. Putin has expressed to Trump that he prefers Moscow, while French President Macron is pushing for Geneva to be the ideal meeting location. The Swiss Foreign Minister has also stepped in, promising that if Switzerland, known for its neutrality, is chosen to participate in peace negotiations, it will provide Putin with an 'exemption' regarding unresolved war crime charges. However, for Ukraine, Hungary would be a delicate choice, as it recalls the 1994 Budapest Memorandum.
