A predictable meeting, but the fact that it comes after the call with Mr. Biden makes me somewhat skeptical! Already, a few hours ago, the meeting in Washington was already mentioning it!

The White House says Putin has agreed to the next stage of peace negotiations after a call with President Biden. Plans are in motion for a direct meeting with Zelensky — and possibly a three‑way session — to push toward ending the war.

U.S. officials, including Secretary of State Marco Rubio, VP J.D. Vance, and Special Envoy Levi Witkoff, will work with Kyiv on the agenda and logistics. Washington is also ready to help secure safety guarantees for Ukraine. Dates and locations are still being worked out.
