🏦 ETFs already control 5% of all ETH: What does this mean for the market?
This figure marks an important milestone in the integration of Ethereum with traditional financial markets. Currently, Ethereum ETFs in the United States hold around 6.3 million ETH, representing 5.3% of the total supply. This accumulation amounts to about 27 billion dollars and has been driven by a steady flow of capital: just in the last week, net inflows of 2.85 billion dollars were recorded, compared to 325 million the previous week.
📈 Impact on price
The price of ETH has responded to this institutional demand, approaching its historical high of 4,900 USD again, although it has recently retraced to 4,300 USD. The logic is simple: when ETFs buy ETH to back their shares, they increase buying pressure in the market, which tends to elevate the price.
🏦 Comparison with Bitcoin
Bitcoin ETFs control 6.5% of the total supply, slightly more than those of ETH. Additionally, corporate treasuries are also betting heavily on Ethereum, accumulating more than 2% of the supply, with companies like Bitmine Immersion leading with 1.5 million ETH in their treasury.
