🔥‼️ Finnish President: "In the past two weeks, we have made more progress than we have in the past three years".
Finnish President Alexander Stubb starts his talk with a joke to Donald Trump about his "youth".
Stubb says he believes: "In the past two weeks, we may have made more progress in ending this war than we have in the past three and a half years".
Stubb explains why Finland is present, as his country shares an 800-mile border with Russia.
Stubb adds: "We have, of course, our own historical experience with Russia... And if you look at the bright side of our current situation, we found a solution in 1944, and I am sure we will be able to find a solution in 2025 to end Russia's aggressive war and find a lasting and just peace. The situation is very difficult, but that's why we are here".
Trump spoke briefly again after Stubb, and then the public portion of the meeting ended. The two leaders have now returned to the Oval Office.
