⚗️ A new attack on quantum computers has been presented

A team from the Laboratory of Computer Architecture and Security at Northwestern University in Illinois has developed QubitVise — a new type of attack on superconducting quantum computers.

The method demonstrates how attackers can deliberately distort the results of other users' programs through a hardware feature called cross-talk.

This attack is capable of altering results in multi-user environments for quantum computing, such as cloud services from IBM, Amazon, Microsoft, and Rigetti.
