Cambridge Dictionary Adds Viral Slang and Tech Terms
Cambridge Dictionary has added over 6,000 new terms included:
- viral slang like “skibidi” from a YouTube series
- “tradwife,” meaning a traditional homemaker active on social media
- “delulu” (delusional)
- “mouse jiggler” (a remote-work hack)
- “work wife” (workplace terms)
-“broligarchy,” (referring to wealthy, powerful tech men like Musk and Bezos)
Cambridge says it only adds words expected to last.
Cambridge says these additions show language adapting to online culture.
