Huma Finance's Governance Voting First Experience: Do Retail Investors Really Have a Voice?

With a try-it-and-see attitude, I participated in Huma's first community proposal vote last week. The topic was "Should the Staking Reward Ratio be Adjusted?" As a retail investor holding only 2000 $HUMA, I thought it would just be a formality.

I didn't expect the whole process to be surprisingly transparent:

- Proposal discussions lasted 2 weeks on Discord, and the development team was pinged until midnight every day

- The voting page clearly displayed the real-time support rate for each option

- My 2000 votes actually influenced the result by 0.003%

In the end, Plan B passed with a narrow advantage of 51.7%, and the team deployed the smart contract update the next day. Although it doesn't compare to the traditional stock market's "one share, one vote" system, it's already quite democratic in the DeFi space. Next time there’s a proposal, I plan to do my homework in advance; I can't be a "random voting retail investor" anymore. @Huma Finance 🟣 #HumaFinance $HUMA
