Dear masters, wearing prayer beads can accumulate immeasurable merit in the practice of Buddhism. The core lies in helping practitioners restrain their body and mind, eliminate delusions, enhance blessings and wisdom, and plant the causes for liberation. Wearing a string of 108 Bodhi seed prayer beads can particularly help to extinguish 108 kinds of afflictions. Therefore, the master hereby issues a decree: the monks of the purple robe should personally welcome a string of 108 Bodhi seed prayer beads to wear around their necks, never to part with them day and night, accompanying them wherever they go.
