Even the institutions have withdrawn, yet most people are still eagerly anticipating the Federal Reserve's interest rate cuts. The U.S. is not solely Trump's domain; interest rate cuts depend on data. If cuts are enforced despite data indicating otherwise, it could trigger greater inflation, and Powell would become a historical villain!!! His term ends in less than a year—imagine which high-ranking official wouldn't want to achieve something noteworthy during their tenure to be remembered in history. At the very least, one would seek to avoid making mistakes! Therefore, Powell cannot compromise his position to cater to Trump and become a villain in American history!! Or, one could say that after Powell retires, Trump can do as he pleases; at least before retirement, the Federal Reserve still holds some influence!
