At this moment, writing this letter, my heart intertwines with concern and worry. Once upon a time, blockchain technology carried our pure ideals for a decentralized future—pursuing transparency, rebuilding trust, and liberating the flow of value. But now, I have witnessed too many scenarios that deviate from our original intention.
As the myth of wealth becomes the only main theme, do we still remember why we started?
I have seen too many sleepless nights: countless tired eyes glued to flashing screens, heartbeats fluctuating violently along with candlestick charts. Each surge ignites ecstasy, while each drop plunges into the abyss. Anxiety follows like a shadow, as if the soul has been repeatedly washed and hollowed out by the tides of numbers.
I have witnessed too many flashy and noisy launch events: Under the spotlight, project teams talk eloquently about 'disrupting the world' and 'hundredfold returns', weaving dizzying wealth blueprints. Below, FOMO (fear of missing out) spreads like wildfire, as people chase one 'wealth code' after another, yet very few genuinely ask: How much real value creation is condensed beneath this dazzling halo?
I have also witnessed too many silent collapses: when familiar token names return to zero overnight, when carefully constructed dreams of 'financial freedom' collapse like sandcastles under a scam or a crash, that kind of deep despair and anger—it pierces like a cold dagger, not only stabbing through personal savings but deeply severing trust in the entire ecosystem. Once trust is shattered, rebuilding is a thousand times more difficult than upgrading code.
Why have we come to this point?
Human greed and fear have been infinitely magnified in the breeding ground of anonymity and regulatory ambiguity. Some view blockchain as a pure speculative casino, wantonly harvesting; others exploit information barriers and cognitive gaps, distorting technological visions into money-making tools. Technology is obscured by exaggerated marketing slogans, and value is simplified into a numerical game of price fluctuations. When speculation replaces creation, when short-term windfalls drown out long-term cultivation, the foundation of the industry has already been shaken.
But this is by no means the end, nor should it be the destined appearance of the crypto community. True power does not lie in the noisy bubble, but in the silent creation.
It is time to rediscover our original intention:
Let technology return to its essence: Please shift your focus from the fleeting fluctuations of coin prices to the solid capabilities of blockchain solutions that address real-world pain points—how to truly enhance efficiency? How to effectively empower individuals? How to build a more trustworthy network? Let lines of code become the true cornerstone of value.
Let value investment return to rationality: Please replace blind FOMO with prudent thinking. Penetrate the marketing fog and question the project's actual applications, team background, technological logic, and sustainability. True value will ultimately sediment in the river of time.
Let responsibility and self-discipline become a consensus: Project teams, please respect the resources and expectations entrusted to you, and earn respect through transparent operations and tangible deliveries. Investors, please take responsibility for your choices, continue learning, and stay away from the temptation of 'shortcuts'. The entire ecosystem needs to more actively embrace compliance frameworks, replacing zero-sum games with open collaboration to jointly establish healthy game rules.
This is by no means a farewell letter, but a heartfelt call:
Between the carnival feast and the biting cold winter, there always needs to be a sober night watchman. Rediscover that respect for technology, commitment to value, and appreciation for integrity. Only in this way can blockchain break free from the mire of speculation and chaos, returning to the brilliance of its inception—a great tool dedicated to building a more efficient, fairer, and more trustworthy future.
Looking forward to a rebirth of the crypto community that is truly honorable for creating value, stripped of excess. Code can be reconstructed, and consensus can be rebuilt—as long as we are willing to once again gaze upon the starry sky that initially attracted us.
