At a time when the Alaska meeting was supposed to be a historic step to end the Ukrainian war, the scene turned into a theatrical display filled with fiery statements and provocative exhibitions.
Trump, as usual, took center stage with his repeated statements: "The stakes are high!!!", as if he were the only one meeting with the leaders of the planet. On the plane, the former president continued to play the role of "strategic analyst", asserting that Putin views the continuation of battles as a negotiating strength, while Trump considers it a fatal weakness.
As for Putin, he maintained a suspicious silence, leaving Trump to flood the media arena with drama.
Upon landing at the Richardson military base in Alaska, it seemed that the Americans wanted to remind the Russians who is stronger: a red carpet and F-22 fighters hovering in the sky. In response, the Russians did not delay in replying: Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov appeared wearing a shirt with the Soviet Union logo, bearing the seal of the "Central Committee of the Communist Party of China". A veiled message: the game has not yet begun.
Thus, everyone gathered for "peace", but the show was the main event.
