#中国投资者涌向印尼
The reasons for the influx of Chinese investors into Indonesia are mainly as follows:
- Policy advantages: The Indonesian government emphasizes expanding investment and has introduced a series of preferential policies, such as simplifying investment approval processes and providing tax reductions, actively creating a favorable business environment to attract Chinese enterprises to invest.
- Superior geographical location: Indonesia occupies an important maritime trade route, the Strait of Malacca, and is a transportation hub connecting Asia and Oceania, as well as the Pacific and Indian Oceans, with convenient maritime traffic that facilitates products being sold worldwide.
- Rich resources: Indonesia is rich in natural resources, with nickel reserves accounting for about 22% of the world's nickel reserves, making it the world's largest nickel producer. Cobalt production has also surged to become the second largest globally. In addition, there are abundant resources such as aluminum, iron, and copper, which can provide sufficient raw material supply for enterprises' production and operations.
- Demographic dividend: Indonesia is the fourth most populous country in the world, with a population of over 280 million and an average age of less than 30 years. With strong consumer awareness and huge market potential, it also provides abundant and inexpensive labor resources for enterprises.
- Avoiding trade tariffs: The United States imposes import tariffs of over 30% on Chinese goods, while Indonesia's export tariff to the U.S. is only 19%. Therefore, a large number of Chinese enterprises are accelerating the shift of production and investment to Indonesia to save on tariff costs.
