Bullish sale to the STOCK MARKET, but not in the expected way 😅

The cryptocurrency platform Bullish, backed by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, has been in the spotlight for its plan to list on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), but the debut did not occur in the traditional manner. Bullish opted for a merger with a special purpose acquisition company (SPAC), Far Peak Acquisition Corporation. This merger would have allowed it to list on the NYSE under the symbol "BULL".

Originally, this transaction was projected to result in a valuation of approximately $9 billion, a significant milestone in the digital asset market. However, the merger was canceled in December 2022 due to market conditions and regulatory uncertainty. Therefore, Bullish did not complete an initial public offering (IPO) nor listed on the NYSE.

The Bullish platform did raise a considerable amount in private funding rounds, but not through a public offering on the stock exchange. The company has captured market attention by focusing on institutional investors and by acquiring specialized media such as CoinDesk, which has strengthened its position in the crypto sector.
