🇺🇦 Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said he will visit Washington on Monday, Aug. 18 to meet U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.
This will be their first face-to-face meeting since Trump became president in January.

In Kyiv, Zelensky said the talks in Washington will focus on ending the war and saving lives. He stressed that Europe must be part of any peace plan to guarantee Ukraine’s security. He also thanked Trump for showing willingness to help.
White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt confirmed that Trump spoke with Zelensky and later updated NATO and European leaders while flying back from Alaska.
🇷🇺 The Kremlin said there has been no discussion about a possible trilateral meeting with Zelensky.
