Is WalletConnect, which you use every day, really safe? The answer is, not entirely.
The WalletConnect protocol itself is like a well-designed, absolutely secure lock. It ensures that when your wallet communicates with a dApp, thieves cannot intercept and decode the information midway. Your private key never leaves your device; this is its cornerstone of security.
But this lock requires you—the homeowner—to decide who to let in.
WalletConnect cannot discern whether the person standing outside is a friend or a robber disguised as a friend. When you scan a QR code from a phishing website and blindly click 'Authorize' in your wallet, you are essentially inviting the robber into your home.
So, remember: WalletConnect ensures the safety of the 'communication process,' but cannot guarantee the safety of the 'communication counterpart.' Before clicking 'Confirm,' always ask yourself one more question: Am I sure I know who is standing outside? @WalletConnect #WalletConnect $WCT
