According to Block Beats, the U.S. Producer Price Index (PPI) for July recorded an annual increase of 3.3%, significantly exceeding market expectations of 2.5%. This marks the highest level since February. Additionally, the monthly PPI rose by 0.9%, the largest increase since June 2022.On an annual basis, PPI jumped 3.3%, significantly above June’s 2.4% and ahead of consensus estimates around 2.5%. Core PPI, excluding volatile food and energy sectors, saw an identical 0.9% monthly gain and a 3.7% year-over-year rise—both far exceeding projections.
