Blue Origin, the aerospace company founded by Jeff Bezos, has announced that it is now accepting Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies as payment for space travel.
Through a partnership with Shift4 and its seamless payment technology, customers can pay for flights aboard Blue Origin’s New Shepard using a variety of digital assets, including Bitcoin, Ethereum, Solana, USDT, and USDC.
To date, more than 75 individuals have flown aboard the reusable New Shepard rocket, crossing the Kármán Line — the internationally recognized boundary of space.
Passengers will also have the convenience of connecting widely used cryptocurrency wallets such as Coinbase and MetaMask, enabling instant, secure, and straightforward payment processing.
