After reading @Huma Finance 🟣 blog, I’m impressed by their PayFi Stack, which feels like a blueprint for redefining finance on the blockchain. The stack is organized into six layers: the transaction layer uses fast blockchains like Solana with 400ms settlements; the currency layer relies on stablecoins like USDC; the custody layer is secured by Fireblocks; the compliance layer uses Chainalysis; the financing layer converts invoices into instant cash; and the application layer supports real-world cross-border payments and trade financing.
Launched in July 2024, the framework has already processed $3.8 billion in transactions. By addressing slow, costly traditional transfers—and the $40 trillion tied up in prepaid accounts—Huma is solving major pain points.
The $HUMA token (10 billion total) allows governance participation and staking at 10.5% yield, giving ordinary users more financial control. With ambitions to unlock a $10 trillion market, the PayFi Stack shows how Web3 finance could truly transform lives.
