According to informed sources, the crypto wallet MetaMask is expected to announce details of its own USD stablecoin mUSD as early as this week. The project was previously exposed due to a governance proposal that was quickly published and then deleted, with plans to launch at the end of this month. mUSD is issued with the assistance of stablecoin payment service provider Bridge (acquired earlier this year by fintech company Stripe) and the stablecoin issuance protocol M^0, and is provided custodial and fund management services by alternative asset management firm Blackstone.
