Based on the original security architecture of Bitcoin, Bitlayer is building a low-trust BitVM bridge, a financial asset that generates returns known as YBTC, in addition to a high-efficiency bundle on the Bitcoin network—giving Bitcoin real functionality, speed, and composability, and establishing an integrated infrastructure for decentralized finance within the Bitcoin ecosystem.
