The Bitlayer Asset Bridge can be used for cross-chain transactions. This transitional technology relies on the BitVM engine and its own implementation of the automated contract model DLC — Optimistic-DLC (OP-DLC). Previously, we noted that the DLC system relies on oracles to sign pre-agreed agreements between parties. With OP-DLC, the function of oracles is carried out by the BitVM Federation nodes — a network of nodes that oversee transactional activity at layer 2.
