3. When did this new mechanism come into effect?

The Binance Alpha Points consumption mechanism was formally introduced on 13 May, 2025.

Time & Snapshot Rules

4. Why wasn’t my order included in my Binance Alpha Points calculation for a specific date?

Binance Alpha Points are calculated based on a daily snapshot at 23:59:59 (UTC). All transactions are recorded based on this time zone.

For example, if you're in UTC+8 and completed a transaction on 23 April at 02:00 (UTC+8), it will be recorded as a transaction completed on 22 April at 18:00 (UTC), and counted toward 22 April.

Point Expiry, Spending & Balance

5. Do Binance Alpha Points expire automatically?

Yes. Binance Alpha Points operate on a rolling 15-day cycle. Each Alpha Point will automatically expire exactly 15 days after the snapshot date.

6. When are points spent?

Binance Alpha Points are spent immediately when you confirm participation in an Alpha event (e.g., Alpha airdrops or TGEs).

The points you spend will be reflected in your total points on the following day.

7. Can I choose whether to spend points on an airdrop?

Yes. Participation in any event is optional. You can choose whether or not to spend your Binance Alpha Points.

8. What happens after an Alpha token gets listed for spot trading?

If an Alpha token gets listed for spot trading, transactions made after listing are not counted toward Alpha volume.

9. Does the wallet type matter for Alpha Volume tracking?

Yes. Only trades via Binance Wallet (Keyless) and Binance centralized exchange are eligible. If a wallet is imported or exported, its trading volume will not be counted toward Alpha volume. Please note that re-imported wallets are no longer considered keyless.

10. How is my daily Binance Alpha Points balance calculated?

Your daily Binance Alpha Points balance is calculated using a rolling 15-day window. This means that your balance consists of all points earned and spent over the past 15 days. Here's how it works:

Example breakdown:

28 April - 12 May:

On 13 May, the 15-day window to review is between 28 April and 12 May.

Day 1 to Day 15: You earn 10 points per day from Day 1 to Day 10 and no points from Day 11 to Day 15, totaling 100 points.

Today (13 May): You spend 5 points, but your balance remains at 100 points on this day because the spending is reflected the next day.

29 April - 13 May:

On 14 May, the points earned on 28 April expire as the rolling window moves forward. The 15-day window is now between 29 April and 13 May.

Day 1 to Day 15 (29 April - 13 May): You have 90 points remaining.

Today (14 May): The 5 points spent on 13 May are now reflected, reducing your balance to 85 points.

30 April - 14 May:

On 15 May, the points earned on 29 April expire as the rolling window moves forward. The 15-day window is now between 30 April and 14 May.

Day 1 to Day 15 (30 April - 14 May): You have 75 points remaining.

Today (15 May): Your balance is now at 75 points.

Please allow 1 - 2 days for airdrops to be credited to your Binance Wallet address after participation.

11. What are the two-phase distribution rules of Binance Alpha airdrops?

Starting from 2025-06-19, Binance Alpha airdrops will adopt a two-stage distribution mechanism, with the following specific rules:

Phase 1: Assume the points threshold is X. Users with points ≥ X can claim airdrop rewards first within a limited time.

Phase 2: After the first phase ends, the points threshold is lowered to Y (Y < X). Users with points ≥ Y can claim airdrop rewards on a first-come, first-served basis.

Example: The points threshold for the first phase of the A token airdrop is 100 points, and users with ≥ 100 points can claim first. After the first phase ends, the threshold is lowered to 60 points, and users with points ≥ 60 points can claim on a first-come, first-served basis until the prize pool is exhausted or the event period ends.

Notes:

1. Each user can only claim once in each airdrop. The airdrop amount to be distributed in the two phases is the same, but it cannot be claimed repeatedly.

2. The points threshold, event period, and rules are subject to the official announcement from Binance Alpha, specific details may be adjusted depending on the event.

3. The total duration of the airdrop may exceed 24 hours. Eligibility is based on the user's points at the start of the event period. Changes in user points during the period will not affect eligibility.
