According to news from CoinWorld, the Nasdaq-listed company VivoPower has chosen the cryptocurrency exchange Crypto.com as its custody partner for its XRP treasury strategy. Sustainable energy solutions company VivoPower International PLC is transforming into a digital asset enterprise focused on XRP (XRP). The company announced a strategic partnership with Crypto.com, which will become VivoPower's cryptocurrency custody partner. The company will use Crypto.com Custody, an institutional-grade custody solution provided by Crypto.com, to expand its digital asset treasury. VivoPower's stock will also be traded through Crypto.com's brokerage, aimed at increasing the visibility of VVPR stock among retail and institutional investors. VivoPower stock will be listed on Crypto.com, allowing VVPR to reach over 150 million exchange users. 'We are pleased to sign this partnership agreement with Crypto.com to facilitate VivoPower's listing on Crypto.com's stock platform, thereby reaching Crypto.com's 150 million cryptocurrency native user base,' said VivoPower Executive Chairman Kevin Chin. 'In addition, Crypto.com's custody services in multiple international jurisdictions will provide additional capabilities for our international growth.' Chin stated that his company is confident this partnership will strengthen VivoPower's XRP treasury strategy. He also noted that Crypto.com will play a role in supporting Caret's digital asset mining business. VivoPower was established in 2014 and has been listed on Nasdaq since 2016, operating in regions such as the UK, North America, Europe, Australia, and the Middle East. Its Caret Digital business unit focuses on the use of renewable energy, including digital asset mining. VivoPower plans to become a major player in XRP as well as the XRP Ledger. It is focused on the rapidly expanding decentralized finance and real-world asset ecosystem on the Ripple blockchain network. The company's transition to cryptocurrency as treasury assets aligns with broader market trends. Public companies like SharpLink Gaming and BitMine are turning to Ethereum, while VivoPower is also seeking to gain similar momentum to become one of the top companies listed in the U.S. offering XRP as a yield-bearing asset. The company revealed plans to purchase $100 million worth of XRP through BitGo in June.
