Circle announces the launch of its Layer 1 blockchain

#Circle has announced the launch of Arc, an open #Layer1 blockchain built to deliver enterprise-grade infrastructure for stablecoin payments, FX, and capital markets use cases. The EVM-compatible network uses USDC as native gas, offers a stablecoin FX engine, sub-second finality, and optional privacy, and will integrate fully with Circle’s platform while staying interoperable with other supported blockchains. A public testnet is planned for this fall.
