Cryptocurrency (English: Cryptocurrency; Urdu: رمزی رائج الوقتی) is a digital medium of exchange in which the ownership of coins is secured using strong cryptography in a computer database known as a digital ledger, to ensure the security of all entries and to control the additional appended ledger and the history of coins, as well as to verify the transfer of coins from the original owner. Cryptocurrency does not exist in physical form like paper currency, nor is it issued by any central bank. Some cryptocurrencies use a decentralized system, unlike central digital currencies and central banks. If a cryptocurrency is created before its issuance, it is considered centralized. When cryptocurrency is implemented through a decentralized system, each cryptocurrency operates under distributed ledger technology. This system is called blockchain, which is akin to a public financial transaction database.
