💥 SEC’s Big Twist in the XRP Case – And I Can’t Believe It 💥 You won’t believe what just happened. The SEC has actually issued a waiver letting Ripple sell securities to private investors — something Judge Torres had already shut down in the XRP case. I’ve been following this battle for months. Ripple and the SEC had officially dropped the main case back in March, but both sides were quietly pushing to remove a Gensler-era restriction: the ban on selling securities to retail investors. Through the normal legal process, that attempt failed. But last Friday, the SEC just went around the court and gave Ripple what it wanted anyway. The waiver literally says: > “In light of the facts and circumstances… good cause exists… Accordingly… a waiver… is hereby granted to Ripple.” Now, Ripple didn’t get their fines refunded or violations erased, but this — lifting the sales ban — was their biggest ask. Former SEC official Marc Fagel, who’s been deep into this case, called the move “unprecedented,” “dubious,” and even “lawless.” He’s basically saying the SEC just flipped off the court.
